MobileRated has long been a source for free mobile phone games. Today they announced they are extending their domain to include free mobile phone applications. Basically, software of any kind is now available for free download from MobileRated.

The stuff at MobileRated is legal to download. MobileRated works with developers to legally provide software you can download directly to your cell phone and use free of charge. Sometimes there is a catch by means of advertising or the application is but a demo or trial, but free is free, and MobileRated tells you in advance what you are getting so there is no confusion. Plenty of totally free applications there, too.
